Carla Chaim has degrees in Art History and Visual Arts from Fundação Armando Álvares Penteado, her works have been shown in institutions such as Instituto Tomie Ohtake, Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation, MAR-Rio, and Galeria Raquel Arnaud. She has been part of numerous international residencies and has won prestigious awards, such as the Prêmio CCBB Contemporâneo.

In 2018, Chaim created an intervention at Casa Sertanista in São Paulo––a typical colonial house used by settlers known as Bandeirantes. After studying the activities related to the building, such as a patrol route performed by staff members, she created her own patrol and actions with specific objects to activate the place’s past histories.
